I came in for a quick pre-business-meeting lunch and wow am I glad I did. Melissa helped me and was awesome. While I love German food, I couldn't pass up the catfish. I ordered that with the German potato salad and cucumber salad. Everything was incredible. The catfish was extremely crispy with thin filets just like I like.
This one is definitely staying on my list! -

We've been a few times. The food is definitely out of a freezer bag and it shows. Chicken tenders sub par, the service was terrible. We sat down when only 1 other table was there. After waiting for 10 minutes I got up to get our own menus (while the waitresses continued to clean other tables or talk). They finally took our drink orders only for 2 out of 6 to be wrong. The salads are literally iceberg lettuce with 2 cherry tomatoes with approx 10 pieces of shredded cheese. They looked so sad and pitiful. One out of 6 raved about their meal (see below).
And needless to say I was concerned about the baby in the chest carrier the waitress had on while serving our hot plates...
The bright spot was the fried chicken livers. They were fried nicely with good flavor without being overdone. -

I came to Roxie's on a Friday at 11:15. To my surprise there was only one other occupied table in the whole place. It was a beautiful day out so I grabbed an open spot by the window to watch the hustle & bustle of the square. My waitress had my drink on the table within 2 minutes & since I had browsed the menu on yelp before coming I already knew for my first visit I was going with the justice burger exactly as it came on the menu.
Less than 10 minutes later my burger & house chips were in front of me. The burger was one of the best all around Burgers I have had in recent memory. Just enough topping & bun that you get a little something with each bite of the delicious meat, which I believe was sirloin & not regular ground beef. also it was just big enough to fill me up for a good lunch. It was dripping with delicious juices that I dipped the chips in for added flavor:) the chips were really good too & I'm not usually one to stick with house chips over fries or other sides but there wasn't any talk of them on here so I tried them & they are as good as an order of fries so if you like chips, get 'em.
Will be back on my next stop in town. The menu is pretty large & everything looked good -

I found Roxie's on my way to Louisville when I stopped in Elizabethtown. This restaurant has a legal vibe that is definitely interesting. The menu items have legal terminology in the names and the staff uniforms have the scales of justice on them. I didn't get the reference but perhaps the locals do since I was just a visitor. The place is very clean and the bathroom was spotless so major plus there.
I ordered a hot tea and an omelette with hash browns and toast. The hot tea was Lipton tea that you use for sweet tea. I should have asked but I assume that these days restaurants offer actual hot teas like green, chamomile or earl grey for example. Nevertheless it was cold in the restaurant so I drank my hot Lipton with lemon.
My omelette had ham, cheese, mushrooms and bell peppers which are the makings of food joy. However this omelette was greasy and oil was on the plate. So much so that I used napkins to dab my omelette with before each bite. Not enjoyable but I was hungry so I made it work.
The service was prompt and for that I would give this place another try for sure -

What an amazing find! We came here a few months ago while traveling through town and fell in love so much that we went out of our way to find it again tonight. We ordered the lobster Mac n cheese and the catfish. Both were amazing!
